This afternoon I met with model extraordinary Rachel Davis. She and I were looking to enhance our portfolio. She arrived with three gigantic bags full of shoes, clothes and makeup accessories (she is also a makeup artist).

We left Union station together and went around the city. The first spot we found was some wall with closed gates, right in front of a giant building in construction. I had Rachel walked back and forth a few times on the sidewalk, which attracted some whistling from the construction worker.
Tip: point your camera in an obvious way at the people that are whistling to your model and take a couple of shots. Usually they will stop.

I managed to break my external flash at one point, so I was stuck with natural light. Which is actually an excuse because I love it like this anyway.

We kept walking around and found a black wall which was perfect for a change of clothes. Pink, purple and black are a good mix. Rachel is also a trained classical dancer, so I tried to emphasized that in those shots.

Later on we took a break at a hidden terrace. I took the opportunity of the more relaxed mood to take a couple of head shots. We ended the day in an underground lot, which gave the opportunity for "late night party" looking pictures.

Despite the broken flash and the long walk, it was a great day, thanks mainly to Rachel for being such a talented and patient model.
